《麻省理工学院科技评论》是麻省理工学院全资拥有的杂志，但编辑独立于麻省理工学院。它成立于1899年，当时名为《技术评论》(Technology Review)， 1998年4月23日在当时的出版人r·布鲁斯·Journey的指导下重新推出，没有使用“The”这个词。2005年9月，在时任主编兼出版人杰森?庞丁(Jason Pontin)的领导下，《时代》杂志经历了另一次转型，转型形式类似于《时代》杂志。

MIT Technology Review is a magazine wholly owned by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, but editorially independent of the university.[3] It was founded in 1899 as The Technology Review,[4] and was re-launched without "The" in its name on April 23, 1998 under then publisher R. Bruce Journey. In September 2005, it underwent another transition under its then editor-in-chief and publisher, Jason Pontin, to a form resembling the historical magazine.
